Quickly: Los Angeles-originating duo PARTYOF2 was once a party of four called grouptherapy. The crew, made up of four former child actors, boasted current members Jadagrace and SWIM, along with Rhea and TJOnline. Rhea left the group in 2020 without much ado, but the departure of TJOnline, announced in March 2024, left a big enough hole in the hearts of Jadagrace and SWIM that the two needed to say something about it. The song on which they do, “all 4 the best,” is the anchor of their three-track we owe you an explanation, a project that addresses a perceived elephant in the room while reminding fans that the pair are well-equipped to stay the course they first charted with a little more support. Along with “all 4 the best,” PARTYOF2 delivers hip-house in “mad love” and a marching band-ready haka in “poser,” both of which speak to how much fun they’re still having. There may only be two, but Jadagrace and SWIM sound like they’re at peace right now, which is how you’re supposed to feel after group therapy anyway.
