Belgian DJ Amelie Lens is back with a bone-rattling October 2024 installment of her mix series for Apple Music, offering up a taste of the thundering techno classics and huge new beats she has been spinning for her eager crowds. “This month’s mix casts a spell right from the start with a hypnotic track from Lucinee’s latest EP, ‘Drift,’” she says. “From there, it’s pure energy, with A*S*Y*S delivering a powerful rework of the iconic ‘Acid Phase,’ one of my all-time favorite French techno anthems from the ’90s. That ’90s vibe pops up throughout, especially on tracks from KI/KI and SWART. Bringing things right up to date, I’ve featured ‘Croton,’ the latest release from fellow Belgian producer Milo Spykers, and one of the biggest tracks I’m playing this month. To close out the hour, I’ve dropped in something fresh from me called ‘Falling for You.’ If you’ve caught me live recently, you’ll recognize it—so many of you have been asking for the ID, and now here it is.”
