John Digweed has assembled dozens of exclusive DJ mixes for Apple Music, but this one is the first of its kind. “Throughout my career I’ve kept an archive of my live performances and for this first live mix I’ve decided to share [one] on Apple Music, I have selected one recorded last October in London at XOYO,” he says. The set was designed to mark a major milestone for the internationally renowned DJ and producer. “It was a special party to celebrate the 1000th episode of my Transitions radio show and I played from open to close, which I love doing,” he says. “Although some of this mix was broadcast on the radio, it’s never been heard free of lots of talking and jingles and it’s one mix that I constantly get asked to release, so here it is.” This globe-trotting set includes cuts from Greek progressive house producer Dousk and genre-defying LA DJ, producer, and composer Davi, Istanbul star Alican, intrepid duo Pig&Dan, and iconic French DJ and producer Laurent Garnier. “I hope these two hours give a glimpse into the special energy from that intimate room together with some of my biggest fans, many of whom traveled from across the world to be a part of this very special day,” says Digweed.
