During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Raghav Meattle championed a raft of India’s indie vocalists by live-streaming tunes and conversations with them. A common theme in the chats and compositions was long-distance love and the Mumbai-based singer-songwriter carries those warm sentiments into Intezaar Tera, his first album of only Hindi-language songs. On this follow-up to his 2018 debut Songs From a Matchbox, Meattle pines for his beloved on the flittering “Ghulaam” before crafting upbeat electronic and synth-pop earworms alongside singer-producer Shor on tracks like “Bekarar” and “Kyu Duur Hai”.
