After vocalist Keith Morris left Black Flag, he formed The Circle Jerks with Redd Kross guitarist Greg Hetson, and they set to making this tight, raw, hardcore punk rager of a record. The band blasts through an astonishing 14 songs in just under 16 minutes, and while it’s hardly complex or subtle, it sure is fun. This album body-slams you with the same smash-it-up-for-the-hell-of-it adrenaline charge that had punks heading to the mosh pit in 1980.
