While many banda crooners try to seduce you with spectacle, Virlan Garcia strips away the fiery horns and antic accordions. The intimate trio sound of his entrancing third album, Voy Amarte, allows his skill as storyteller to shine through. While his wounded ballads like “Ni Pisando el Dolor” will leave your heart aching, Garcia is also a singer bursting with a brash and bubbly charm. Backed by infectious tuba-driven rhythms, and spinning dazzling melodies from dueling guitars, Garcia delights on irresistible singalongs like "El RR" and “Senor Colombia.”
