Nine Lives

Nine Lives

The title of Aerosmith's 12th studio album could refer to both the band's remarkable staying power as well as their penchant for constant reinvention. Accordingly, Nine Lives' music is daring and diverse: The title track harks back to the band's '70s blues-rock barnstorming, while "Hole In My Soul" is all sunny, Beatles-esque pop and the psychedelic "Ain't That a Bitch" incorporates playful strings. The glossy "Falling In Love (Is Hard On the Knees)" even proves that Aerosmith haven’t lost their touch for bawdy double entendres.
