The first full-length album from the band Sold Ash—the brainchild of songwriter, producer and sound engineer Ruan Vos—uses the explosive energy of noise-rock to address heavy topics head-on. Exploring everything from mental health to feeling incongruous with a world centred on capitalistic pursuits and productivity, Howl A Little Louder Just Don’t Spit In My Mouth tracks a cathartic journey of self-healing, through dealing with anxiety (“Puppy Runt”), cutting out toxic behaviour (“Howl a Little Louder”), and reflecting on lost love.
