On the first solo effort from legendary Philly DJ Jazzy Jeff, every track has a guest, but Jeff is still the star and stays true to his DJ roots. Over the bottomless bass of “Shake it Off,” he scratches through soul vocal samples in the chorus. “How I Do” is a grooving slow jam with small guitar licks and singer Cy Young riffing melodically; a jazzy Rhodes hook propels “Travelz,” featuring Baby Blak and Crushall. Jeff shows off his full range here, and does it well.
