With members in their mid-teens, BUSTERS are one of K-pop’s younger groups, but don’t mistake youth for inexperience. They began in 2017 and have weathered lineup changes (new members Takara and Minji make their debut here). In 2020, the group takes bold steps forward with a mini-album that reflects their bubbly spirit and enthusiasm for uptempo bangers. Paeonia’s title track percolates with electro and trop-house to tell a snappy tale about salvaging romance. The giddiness of spring love is captured on “Cherry Blossom,” with its bright synth-pop and “tu-tu-lu-lu” vocal accents, welcoming as a white petal shower during a windy day.
