Nothing Anonymous belong to the same genre-mashing school as Hiatus Kaiyote, an act whose influence looms large over their enjoyable debut EP. Producer and multi-instrumentalist Nirmit Shah brings together his love for electronic breakbeats, jazzy synths and funky grooves into smooth compositions marked by Ambika Nayak’s rich vocals. Bouncing between ideas and styles, the duo is clearly having fun, and their infectious enthusiasm gives these songs a uniqueness all their own.
