El Ocaso

El Ocaso

This solo debut finds Molotov singer/guitarist Tito Fuentes roaring joyously through a set of grinding '60s garage rock and blistering '70s boogie metal. "Ya Mami" bashes along with a lewdness and looseness that would make The Stooges proud, while the feedback-scorched "No Hay Maraña" swerves into even more brutal terrain. But even the catchiest moments on El Ocaso vibrate with the same gleeful chaos, lurching from the sleek-but-snarling groove of "Todo Yo" to the snotty pileup of gnarly hooks on "Yes to No."
