Mexican indie band Quiero Club open Oportunidad de Oro on an ominous note. Both eerie and entrancing, "No Hay Semilla" suggests an unexpectedly dark turn, especially considering this is a trio best known for the bouncy retro-disco jams that made them club favorites throughout the late 2000s. But while it's definitely less sleek and decidedly more snarling than Quiero Club's stylish pop beginnings, Oportunidad de Oro is still the work of a crew determined to keep a sweaty dance floor moving, whether by paying stomping tribute to glam rock's robotic side ("Millones") or embracing New Wave's nervous energy ("Los Cuatro Puntos").
