Clear and still as desert night, Blood Moon is the ideal soundtrack for stargazing. Martin Craft draws from immersive experiences at Joshua Tree and applies it to his powerful, nearly hymnal suites. A lone piano forms the backbone. Wisps of synth and orchestral touches swirl about. “Afterglow” and “New Horizons” are a touch foreboding in the Angelo Badalamenti style, while “Love is the Devil” and “Me and My Shadow” highlight Craft’s voice, which lets in precious light.
