Charismatic G. V. Prakash Kumar, the nephew of Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, made an impact with his critically acclaimed Tamil debut soundtrack, Veyil. Despite super hit songs such as "Akkam Pakkam" to his credit, G. V. Prakash has continued to thrive at every level of the music production process—including scoring the background music to the Hindi classic Gangs of Wasseypur Parts I and II. With more than 50 films as composer under his belt, he decided to shed his inhibitions and try acting, too. This is a composer who constantly strives to move out of his comfort zone.
