About Kirsten Arian
Singer and songwriter Kirsten Arian strikes a balance between effervescence and soulfulness in her good-natured pop. She made her full-length debut in 2015 with Higher Than Heaven before appearing on The LEGO Batman Movie soundtrack two years later with her song "Invincible." A native of Los Angeles, Arian kept a notebook of original songs at a young age but didn't entertain the idea of becoming a professional musician until her mid- to late teens. She moved base to Nashville in 2012 to begin her career in the city's then-burgeoning pop scene, self-releasing her debut EP, This City Kills, in April 2013. The following year, she entered and took first place in the Music City Breakthrough talent competition. That led to a publishing deal with RareSpark Media Group. Co-produced by Arian and Scot Sherrod, her first album, Higher Than Heaven, arrived via RareSpark in 2015. Arian soon accepted an invitation to write a song for The LEGO Batman Movie and completed "Invincible" with co-writer/producer Lindsay Rimes in the span of a few hours. The film and soundtrack saw release in February 2017. Arian returned with the album 3 in late 2018, following it with a tour in support of Chris Jamison in early 2019. ~ Marcy Donelson
