One of the most prolific and popular artists of the '70s, he would release an astonishing 11 albums in just over a decade, including the worldwide hits Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat. But by the late-'70s Stevens converted to Islam and changed his name to Yusuf Islam, renouncing his music career for nearly three decades.
