Xzibit Essentials

Xzibit Essentials

Xzibit's career bridges the west coast underground to the mainstream. After aligning himself with King Tee and The Alkaholiks, the rapper's 1996 debut, At the Speed of Life, connected with fans on a grass-roots level thanks to his endearing gravelly voice and smart storytelling. 2000's Restless and 2002's Man vs. Machine upped the commercial stakes and sound, including collaborations with Nate Dogg and Dr. Dre. A move to become the presenter of MTV's Pimp My Ride show in 2004 successfully cemented Mr. X-to-the-Z's place in pop culture.
