WC no Beat Essentials
Apple Music
Weslley Costa first heard funk carioca in the port city of Vitória. He began tinkering with his own beats aged six and mixed tracks for hip-hop group Lenda Pessoal when he was 13. These early experiences paved the way for the project that has defined his career. WC no Beat has pioneered Brazil’s funk and trap movement across a succession of albums, uniting emerging and established artists from both scenes in a mix of homegrown hip-hop identity, favela rhythms and fresh trap beats. The result is a vivid sonic fusion of global sounds.
