Timbaland: The Producers

Timbaland: The Producers

Timbaland is one of the most progressive producers in music. The Virginia product got his start by producing on Jodeci's 1993 album Diary of a Mad Band, but the futuristic soundscapes he contributed to Aaliyah's One and a Million in 1996 made him a marquee name. His musical partnerships with Missy Elliott and Ginuwine—he produced the bulk of their first LPs, including hits "Da Rain (Supa Dupa Fly) and "Pony"—made him an in-demand super-producer. He crafted hits for Ludacris, Destiny's Child, Madonna, and JAY Z. Timbo's also released a few albums of his own. His Shock Value series is well received—the first installment was certified platinum. He's also worked extensively with pop stars Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. He produced the majority of JT's classic Future Sex/Love Sounds, which spawned No. 1 hits "Sexy Back," "My Love," and "What Goes Around… Comes Around" as well as his 2013 comeback, The 20/20 Experience."
