The Verve Essentials

The Verve Essentials

Formed in 1990, The Verve made a thrilling psychedelic noise, a sound that seemed unlikely to one day lead to GRAMMY® nominations and international acclaim. They became an instant indie sensation with their 1993 debut album, A Storm In Heaven, combining hard rock's bluesy swagger with shoegaze's swirling guitars. The soaring hooks of 1997's Urban Hymns finally propelled The Verve to alt-rock superstardom, but the volatile group split acrimoniously just two years later, only to unexpectedly return with 2008's triumphant Forth.
