The Struts Essentials

The Struts Essentials

Melding old-school rock ‘n' roll swagger with contemporary pop hooks, The Struts soared as one of the most exciting British live acts of the 2010s. Singer Luke Spiller and guitarist Adam Slack met in 2009, as their respective bands began falling apart. Spiller headed to Derbyshire shortly after, where the pair began writing, performing, and leaning into glam-rock aesthetics before debuting as The Struts three years later. The band has always been unabashed about the peacocking influence of Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, and Freddie Mercury, which is reflected in the stadium-sized choruses of hits “Could Have Been Me” and “Kiss This.” Though rock hedonism has continuously taken center stage on LPs YOUNG & DANGEROUS (2018) and Strange Days (2020), The Struts' catalog is also filled with devilish covers of Lorde and Sweet that keep fans on their toes and ready to scream.
