The Miracles Essentials

The Miracles Essentials

The Miracles were the first act signed to Berry Gordy's Motown Records and became one of their biggest sellers while influencing countless artists around the world. Before starting the label in '59, Gordy produced a handful of doo-wop and R&B sides for the group, which was co-founded in 1955 by Smokey Robinson. Gordy had heard genius, and led by Robinson's honey-soaked voice and wonderfully hypnotic songs, The Miracles amassed hit after lasting hit throughout the '60s. Robinson split in '72, but the group continued without him, even scoring a No. 1 single in '76.
