The Dandy Warhols Essentials

Portland-based frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor formed The Dandy Warhols in the early '90s. Strong buzz around the band's raucous live performances, combined with the warm critical reception for '95 debut Dandys Rule OK, led to a contract with Capitol. Mainstream success followed in '00 with the release of the band's third LP, Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia. The Warhols licensed their tunes to cult TV shows Veronica Mars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and were featured in the '04 cult documentary Dig!, sustaining their popularity and relevance well into the '10s.
