While he started off his musical career as a guitarist, Tetsu Inoue soon fell in love with the modular synth-heavy sounds of groups like Yellow Magic Orchestra and Tomita. Upon moving to New York from his native Japan, he began to experiment in his own electronic fare, with help from friends like Uwe Schmidt, Bill Laswell, and Pete Namlook. Since the ‘90s, Tetsu has had a hand in a number of different styles and moods, including abrasive industrial drone, hypnotic trance, and glitchy experimental works that sound like broadcasts from deep space.
