This snarling quintet of youthful corridistas have been quickly climbing the charts since their 2015 emergence. Starting off as a high school party band when lead singer Kristopher Nava was only 14, the Los Angeles/Las Vegas-based group gained traction for their riveting take on traditional corridos while incorporating stripped-down ballads built on skittering fingerlicking and buoyant tuba riffs. Inspired by Regulo Caro's wicked wordplay and the wildly lovelorn tales of Gerardo Ortiz, these regional Mexican musicians make the most of their piercing voices as they craft their own raw storytelling from the materials of love, excess, and debauchery.
