T.O.K. Essentials

Initially taking their cues from R&B harmonizers like Boyz II Men, T.O.K. incorporated the dancehall of their native Jamaica to forge their own unique sound. Formed by high-school friends in the early '90s, the group became one of Jamaica's biggest dancehall acts before making their stateside debut with the 2001 album My Crew, My Dawgs. Electric singles like "Eagles Cry" and "Footprints," which address the tragedy and violence caused by poverty in Jamaica, have cemented their legacy as one of reggae's most beloved acts.
