Originally trained at the Mannes College of Music in New York, Steve Postell is a guitarist, musical director, and composer. His work has impressive range, spanning the easygoing folk rock of David Crosby; the adult-contemporary pop of Jennifer Warnes; the smooth soul of John Oates; the global eclecticism of Jai Uttal; and the blend of blues and Americana in his own solo recordings. But whether he’s got an electric or acoustic in his very capable hands, his clean, crisp sound and deceptively casual feel remain his signature.
