Editors’ Notes To call Belgium's Soulwax influential is an understatement. Helmed by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, the band unleashed a powerful cocktail of electronic music and rock over three records, beginning in 1996. Grungy guitars and chaotic noise mix with samples, processed beats, and pop-orientated melodies, and major success followed when the remix album Nite Versions led to work with MGMT, Gorillaz and Muse. By the time the Dewaeles chose to focus on their 2manydjs project, they'd already drafted the blueprints for a brave new world of synth-pop and indie rock for the new millennium.
