Formed in Orange County, California in 1998, Something Corporate fused alt-rock, punk, and emo influences with an emphasis on aggressive piano melodies. Borrowing as much from the tuneful pop-rock of Ben Folds as the snarling crunch of The Get Up Kids, the band released three albums from '00-'03, winning a huge following and plenty of airplay. While frontman Andrew McMahon went on to found Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate still perform occasionally, and released a greatest hits collection in 2010.
