Slaughterhouse MCs Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce da 5' 9" had each experienced his own share of major-label disappointment before the group came together to attack the industry on their own terms. Officially forming in 2008, the quartet's debut album dropped the following year before they signed with Eminem's Slim Shady Records. With razor-sharp lyrical skills and beats that keep it rugged and hardcore, the group have become true underground heroes of the scene.
