Shinhwa's name means “legend” in Korean, and with a career that spans several generations of K-pop idol groups, the six-piece has more than lived up to it. They started out with a cute pop image on their first single “Uh Sha Uh Sha,” but shed that in favour of serious R&B tracks like “T.O.P. (Twinkling of Paradise)” and “Only One.” Even as their signature singles are regularly covered by up-and-coming boy bands, Shinhwa have stayed contemporary, incorporating EDM and rap rhythms into their classic sound.
