After the release of his critically acclaimed '91 album As Raw As Ever, he would attract worldwide attention, bringing the genre to American audiences with a string of radio and MTV hits. While careful to credit the artists who came before him, the deejay's unabashed nature, distinctive voice, and perfectly balanced content have made him one of Jamaica's biggest musical exports.
