Sammy Hagar has dropped tons of hard-rock burners both before and after his commercial peak in the '80s and early '90s. He started off howling for Montrose, whose “Space Station #5” boasts one of the biggest, most hypnotic axe riffs of the '70s. Later on, the Red Rocker banged out raucous boogie jams with Chickenfoot (“Sexy Little Thing”) and stomping fight anthems with Detroit tough guy Kid Rock (“Knockdown Dragout”).
