Rock Latino: '90s - '00s

For all of the pop-leaning Latin rock of the ‘90s and ‘00s, there was an equally intriguing alternative movement bubbling underneath the surface. Just as Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins were shredding guitars stateside, rockers like Lucybell in Chile, Babasónicos in Argentina, and Zoé in Mexico were churning out their own moody melodies. The result was a defiant sound all their own.
