If there's anything Roberto Carlos excels at, it's midtempo love songs. They don't rush, they don't insist, they don't force their point. He just sings, with minimal adornment over a friendly pop rock background, about the object of his affections—and it's completely disarming. It's as if one man has dedicated himself to making the world safe for genuine affection. Somebody should thank him.
