Bronx-born comedian Robert Schimmel left no topic, and certainly no taboo, unturned. With the help of Rodney Dangerfield, Schimmel rose up from the L.A. comedy scene, working a delivery as hard-edged as hero Lenny Bruce, but with far raunchier revelations—he turned seemingly innocuous experiences, like going to SeaWorld or seeing Santa at the mall, into disturbing realities. But his best material was often based on his own life, meaning that no one was spared, including his wife ("Love / Marriage / Sexual Dysfunction / Adult Toys"), kids ("17 Year Old"), and his own body ("Heart Attack").
