A key member of top Indian rock band Avial, composer Rex Vijayan has forged a career as a free spirit when it comes to his work as a film composer. Taking in breathy, acoustic guitar-driven melodies, country folk arrangements and intelligent, progressive pop, Vijayan does it all with the ease of a masterful storyteller. While rooted in rock melodies and influences, he also branches into electronic sounds and textures. At the same time, songs like “Kurrah” and “Enthanu Bhai” show a decidedly playful bent as he delights in exploring across multiple genres.
