Relient K blurs the lines between hard-hitting alternative rock, energetic punk, and devotional Christian pop. Founded in 1998 by high-school friends Matt Thiessen, Matt Hoopes, and Brian Pittman, the band's early demo wowed former DC Talk member tobyMac, and he quickly signed them to his Gotee Records label. Despite multiple lineup changes in the years since, Relient K went on to sell millions of albums, earn multiple Dove Awards, tour with mainstream stars like Paramore, and win a devoted following among both Christian rockers and secular punk fans.
