Dr. Dre: The Producers

Dr. Dre: The Producers

Dr. Dre's in a league of his own. The revolutionary sound architect behind the World's Most Dangerous group, N.W.A, the Compton native's 1992 debut, The Chronic, set standards producers still strive to reach over 20 years later. The G-funk sound he pioneered in the early '90s was instrumental in taking hip-hop mainstream. He's ushered in superstars Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar with LPs that have carried the Good Doctor's tradition of excellence. As a mogul, the two labels he's founded—Death Row and Aftermath—are responsible for some of hip-hop's most critically acclaimed and best-selling works. In addition to producing his two solo classic albums—the aforementioned The Chronic and 1999's 2001—in their entirety, Dre also crafted hits for 2Pac, JAY Z, Eve, Gwen Stefani, and Nas, to name a few.
