Breaking down Phoenix's intoxicating brew of electro-rock leaves us with quite an eclectic list. The band have found their groove alongside fellow Frenchmen Daft Punk—known to inject pop earworms into wildly hypnotic house—and tossed in a dash of Serge Gainsbourg's bad-boy suaveness. They've proven they can rock plenty hard too, with all the carefree swagger of The Strokes and Iggy Pop.
