As a honey-voiced young star, Patrick Juvet launched some undeniably catchy French pop melodies at the beginning of the ‘70s—but soon, aided by Jean-Michel Jarre, he'd take a turn towards a more innovative, challenging, and infectiously danceable sound. He hit his stride at the height of the disco era, with albums like 1977's Paris by Night strutting to success on both sides of the Atlantic. While his glittery disco days faded at the dawn of the ‘80s, Juvet still had plenty to offer as a gifted pianist and tender, thoughtful songwriter.
