Fronted by firebrand vocalist Hayley Williams, Paramore continually diversified their sound while retaining their punk edge to become emo's biggest breakout act. Williams' striking red hair may have initially helped to attract attention, but her feisty vocals, natural charisma, and ability to craft massive hooks deservedly took center stage on 2007's Riot! and 2009's Brand New Eyes. Despite the exit of founding members Zac and Josh Farro, the trimmed-down trio bounced back in style in 2013 with an eponymous LP, which tackled synth-pop, New Wave, and gospel to chart-topping effect.
