Nimo Essentials

Nimo finds inspiration for his often politically-charged hip-hop from his own early life experiences, which included a stint in juvenile detention where he learned to rap. Set against a backdrop that ebbs and flows through unexpected calm, “Flouz kommt Flouz geht” drives forwards via angry lyrics about street life. “Heute mit mir”, however, has sparks of Iranian instrumentation, inspired by his parents’ heritage, juxtaposing light-hearted beats and crude lyricism in a track celebrating the carefree life he’s now accustomed to.
