There's no mistaking the "Neon" in this bright, kaleidoscopic brew of electro-pop. Led by Mexico-born, Texas-based Alan Palomo, Neon Indian arose in 2009 as chillwave pioneers. Palomo's early vocals feel as if they are slowly baking in the sun, as the band gives shoegaze a mirage-inducing, psychedelic treatment, complete with '80s-inspired synths.
