Self-described "artisanal" songwriter Michel Rivard sings about simpler times and places with sublime sensitivity and intimacy. The Montreal-based poet/troubadour/actor launched his solo career in 1977 with Méfiez-vous du grand amour. Since then, his music has drifted into bluegrass, folk, rock, and accordion-driven musette.
