Known for its own brand of blue-collar heartland rock 'n' roll, the Michael Stanley Band ruled the airwaves and filled concert venues consistently in the ‘70s and ‘80s. Why haven't you heard of them, then? Because their success was limited to their hometown of Cleveland and a few other Midwestern markets. While the band barely broke onto the national scene, they held numerous attendance records for Cleveland's largest venues. Lead singer and founder Michael Stanley went on to front other bands, but his indelible mark was made with MSB.
