When Meghan Currie was 13, she lost a close friend to suicide. But while it triggered a period of anxiety and depression, the tragedy also set her on a path of self-exploration, which included discovering yoga. “Movement is like a fingerprint,” the Ontario yoga instructor tells Apple Music. “Each human expresses it uniquely when lost in the layers of rhythms and sounds.” Currie created a playlist of music that moves her, physically and spiritually. “Each song has been selected and curated with a movement practice in mind,” she says. “The tempo gradually builds, like a heartbeat steadily increasing, specifically designed for a deep fluid yoga flow, to dance, or just to chill. I’ve chosen some of my favorite songs and artists who flavor their music with soul and depth. I hope this playlist arouses some kind of deep spontaneous movement that sets some wild part of you free and leaves you tingling.”
