Originally part of pioneering Punjabi sibling trio RDB (Rhythm, Dhol, Bass), British-Indian composer and singer Manjeet Singh Ral was already a known quantity in India’s music industry by the time he went solo in 2014. Under the moniker Manj Musik, he found ready collaborators to turn around EDM and hip-hop inflected Punjabi bangers. He’s teamed up with rapper Raftaar several times—not to mention star singers Guru Randhawa and Neha Kakkar—for slick, high-energy songs that draw from bhangra roots and the skills of chart-topping hitmakers alike.
