Starting out as a trio comprising of producers Diplo and Switch, and hype man Skerrit Bwoy, Major Lazer have since transformed into a vibrant musical collective. Combining elements of reggae, ska, baile funk, trap, dancehall, and many other eclectic sounds, the group are known for their bombastic live performances, and their namesake cartoon frontman. Studio albums Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do and Free the Universe became worldwide hits, and featured contributions from an army of established global artists.
